The software covers stock managment and business intellegence reporting. 20 February, 2004 Database merge for Metropolitan Galss is now completed. 5 January, 2004 We continue with 5 branches database merge with Metropolitan Galss . 24 December, 2003 Merry Christmas and Happy New year to all Soft Light's clients, partners, contractors and supporters. 2003 was a great year of growth, 2004 will be exciting time of outsourcing as we explore the further overseas sub-contracting. 14 September, 2003 The Order's data import phase of our other project with Metropolitan Galss.has been finished. 10 September, 2003 The machine profitability report and different views of Sales Analysis report are our two latest projects with Onesource. 21 August, 2003 Our client Onesource has commissioned Soft Light to take part in the customer base merge project. Also we are working extensively to provide them with Sales Analysis report. Our specialists are using datawarehouseing technology as a back end as well as PivotTables and MS Data Analyser to view the resulting cubes. The reports are fully integrated into MS SharePoint Portal Server as the WebParts. This approach gives to the company the stadard "IE desktop".We have developed several custom searches using WebDAV to implement them as a WebParts. These searches significantly facilitate the access to corporate resources, resulting in improved usability and time savings. 15 August, 2003 Our Investment Property Analysis Calculator is in the final testing stages. 23 July, 2003 Metropolitan Glass has commissioned our company to help them with review of their order entry framework and to help them with merging their four branches into one database. We are using the latest MS development suite Visual Studio.NET. Soft Light has done some work for this company in 2001 and now we are welcoming them back. It is always a pleasure to see repeated business. 7 June, 2003 We are now engaged in BizTalk implementation to exchange the data between Onesource and Mantrack - a payroll project. 6 May, 2003 The implementation of BizTalk for Onesource is now in second phase. We have agreed with NYK Logistics New Zealand on XML DTD's and currently working on the reliable messaging implementation. 21 April, 2003 Share Point business portal, that we have implemented for our client - Onesource, is now in advanced UAT (User Acceptance Testing). It will be rolled out first in company's Contact Centre - the face of the company. The production roll out is expected in mid May. 2 April, 2003 We have started BizTalk implementation for Onesource. This project will phase out existing EDI link with various suppliers and customers. 18 March, 2003 Field Technicians KPI (key performance indicators) reports are distributed to branches. The technology used to generate the reports includes MS SQL Server Data Transformation Services - to extract the data from BPCS (AS/400) database; PST Data Server to ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) data preparation; MS Analysis Services - to build datawarehouse. Few cubes include calculated members - extensive usage or MDX queries; and finally MS Excel XP's Pivot Tables and Charts as report viewer. It was a tough decision on viewing tools and it has been made for using MS Excel Pivot Tables, which seems the most cost efficient solution. 15 January, 2003 We have completed the first stage of company's Datawarehouse. Currently there are two datamarts, used for historical sales analysis, reconciliation to P&L and for Field Technicians KPI (key performance indicators). 24 December, 2002 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all current and future clients and partners of Soft Light. 16 October, 2002 The second round of initial consultations with Fast Forward Future Marketing Group Ltd regarding a joint venture developing the market research package has been completed. We are considering the functionality, platform and the budget for this project. 11 October, 2002 The proof of concept stage of Business Information Portal for Onesource (UBix / Cogent) is successful completed. We were given full "go ahead" and implement pilot of production site for this company. Also Soft Light is now engaged in architecting and implementing a business intelligence solutions for Onesource using Datawarehouse, taking full advantage of legacy data, enabling the business decision support applications We are evaluating several products available for this: Data Server suite from PST. DSPanel from DSP. Crystal Analysis from Crystal Decisions. 22 September, 2002 Mariner7 has sold its product Talent Engine to StaffCV. Read full story here ... 16 September, 2002 We have a pleasure to announce that our bid for the contract with Onesource has been successful. Soft Light has been appointed as a principal technical architect for the proposed integration solution. The companies involved are U-Bix and Cogent. We are considering usage of Microsoft's SharePoint Portal Server and Crystal Decisions to prove the concept. The original systems used by the company are BPCS running on IBM AS/400 and SalesLogix. 03 August, 2002 The first round of initial consultations about re-designing of Devonport Cinema 3 site has been successfully completed. We are considering the functionality and the budget for this project. 30 July, 2002 Soft Light Limited is discussing a tactical partnership with Data Knowhow Limited to undertake various development projects. 26 July, 2002 The re-development of A Production Company web site - Tim's Journey has commenced. We have commissioned Evolving Studios to provide the creative solutions for this project 23 July, 2002 The prototype of Devonport Digital Film Festival site has commenced. We have commissioned Vitaminbplus to provide design solutions for this project. Unfortunately at later stages this project was halted due to lack of funds - not an unusual occurrence in IT world:) 15 July, 2002 We have committed to a strategic partnership with A Production Company Limited - Soft Light Limited will provide technical support as well as undertake sites development for our new partner. 25 June, 2002 The first stage of Mariner7.com - StaffCV.com integration project has been successfully completed. Two sites are using Extensive Markup Language to communicate. Please feel free to visit the site and improve your career prospects. 01 August, 2001 Soft Light Limited has accepted contract with Mariner7 to provide the expertise in back- and front-end development of the unique web site that used advanced psychometric tools and assist the employer in the candidates selection process. 20 July, 2001 Our developers successfully completed the first stage of the project for Metropolitan Glass. The project involves the porting of existing custom ERP system from Clipper to Microsoft based business application. The framework for the future ERP system has been successfully designed and accepted by IGM Software Ltd - the creator of original application.
